Statistical phylogeography: Migrate and IMa
We'll really begin to see the power of coalescent methods in our exploration of Migrate and IMa today. WARNING: This will be a demanding lecture. Even though I will gloss over nearly all of the really difficult mathematics and statistics, there will be enough left that your head will really be hurting by the end of today's lecture. Please interrupt me when you don't understand something. There's probably more in this lecture and the one next Tuesday that you'll use than in almost any other lecture this semester (whether simply reading papers and listening to seminars or employing the methods in your own research). I really want you to understand as much of this as you possibly can. You'll thank me for it later.
