It\u2019s the <em><strong>Marist<\/strong><\/em> Mindset List, not the Beloit Mindset List. It\u2019s the same Mindset list as before, but it now has a new home. If you\u2019ve never heard of the Mindset List before, here\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marist.edu\/-\/marist-news-the-first-marist-mindset-list-is-released\">full press release<\/a>. The short version is<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p>The Marist Mindset List is created by Ron Nief, Director Emeritus of Public Affairs at Beloit College, along with educators McBride and Westerberg, Shaffer, and Zurhellen. Additional items on the list, as well as commentaries and guides, can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marist.edu\/mindset-list\">www.marist.edu\/mindset-list<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/themindsetlist.com\/\">www.themindsetlist.com<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/darwin.eeb.uconn.edu\/uncommon-ground\/blog\/2018\/08\/21\/the-mindset-list-for-the-class-of-2022\/\">As always<\/a>, I enjoy looking over the list, even though it makes me feel really old. Here are a few of the items I found particularly striking this year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Like Pearl Harbor for their grandparents, and the Kennedy assassination for their parents, 9\/11 is an historical event.<\/li>\r\n<li>The primary use of a phone has always been to take pictures.<\/li>\r\n<li>The nation\u2019s mantra has always been: \u201cIf you see something, say something.\u201d<\/li>\r\n<li>They are as non-judgmental about sexual orientation as their parents were about smoking pot.<\/li>\r\n<li>Apple iPods have always been nostalgic.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You can find the full list at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marist.edu\/mindset-list\">www.marist.edu\/mindset-list<\/a>.
