Quantitative genetics: genomic prediction

Many quantitative traits that people are interested in are influenced by many loci. As a result, any one locus only accounts for a small amount of the total phenotypic variation. But if we add up the effects of all of the loci that matter, we may be able to predict phenotypes pretty well. That's the basic idea behind genomic prediction.
