Statistical phylogeography: Admixture graphs and sparg
If you thought things were complicated on Tuesday, buckle up. They'll be even more complicated today, but they're complicated for a reason. By getting complicated we are getting realistic. We are taking account of more real evolutionary processes and diving deeper into the data to help us make inferences about them. One of the key observations we're taking advantage of in all of this is that the coalescent histories at unlinked loci are independent of one another. That means that every single SNP you look at provides new insight into the history and processes (so long as the SNPs are unlinked).
