A few of you know that I was elected President of the Botanical Society of America last year. One of my first responsibilities was to deliver the Presidential Address at the All Society Banquet on the last night of Botany & Mycology 2009. The text of my remarks will be published in the next issue of the Plant Science Bulletin. I'll provide a link as soon as it appears. Bill Dahl also threatened to post a video of the presentation on YouTube. If he does, I'll provide a link for that, too.

In the meantime, you can look at the PowerPoint on SlideShare, if you're so inclined. You can download the presentation as a PowerPoint file from there, but the fonts may look a little funky unless you have Gill Sans installed.1

1As we discovered about an hour before my talk when we loaded it on the banquet room computer.
