Dance your Ph.D.

Remember the Ph.D. dance? Last fall, Gonzo Scientist challenged scientists to make YouTube videos interpreting their Ph.D. work through dance. Four winners provided a single peer-reviewed article on which they were a co-author (or on which their major advisor was a co-author if they were students who had not yet published). They were paired with a professional choreographer to whom they had to explain the article and its context. The four choreographers then collaborated on a four-part dance that was presented at the AAAS meetings in February.

Now Gonzo Scientist invites you to participate in an experiment: Watch videos of each dance and see if you can pair the dance with the research article. I haven't tried yet, but the weekend is coming, so don't be surprised if you see a post on Monday with my impressions.
