The girl effect

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in the United States, and in spite of all the turmoil in the financial markets, I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a very rewarding job, I have great students and a wonderful post-doc,1 I have a beautiful house, two adorable cats, and a partner I've been with for more than thirty years. So tomorrow will be a day when I give thanks for all that I've been given, and a day when I remember those who have been less fortunate. I'll be thinking about the girl effect.

Link thanks to Garr Reynolds.

1I'm more than a little jealous of how beautiful Jane's web page is.
