Innovation 2008 starts today at the University of Minnesota's Center for Science, Technology, and Public Policy. If you can't be there in person, you can participate via a public wiki or watch a live video stream of the conference. The number of online seats is limited, so if you can't get in at first, wait a bit and try again.

The topics to be discussed include:

  • Innovation and competitiveness: renewing America's leadership

  • Renewing science, technology, engineering, and math education

  • A path to renewal of America's global role in health science policy

  • Integrating science and technology in America's artistic and civic culture: seeing our world anew

  • A renewed vision of energy security and sustainability: what's missing from the debate?

The complete schedule of events is available online.
