Scientists and Engineers for America and other sponsors of ScienceDebate2008 are sponosoring a forum at George Washington University on September 16th:
Innovation and the Elections: Presidential Perspectives on Health
Jay Khosla, Health Policy Advisor for John McCain, and Dora Hughes, Health Policy Advisor for Barack Obama, will represent the candidates. Julie Rovner, Health Policy Correspondent for National Public Radio, will moderate the discussion.
It's not quite ScienceDebate2008, since the focus seems to be on health policy and doesn't seem likely to address climate change or several other of the fourteen questions both candidates have been asked, but it's a start. A limited number of seats are available in the Jack Morton Auditorium, and I don't think it will be broadcast, but you can view the forum live on the web at www.sharp.seafora.org/candidate-forum.
Here's a copy of the invitation debate if you'd like more information on sponsorship or on getting a seat in the auditorium.
