Julie McDonald resigned from her position as deputy assistant secretary of the Department of Interior last April. In July, the Department of Interior announced that it would “review and probably overturn” eight decisions she made while serving as deputy assistant secretary (John M. Broder, New York Times Select, subscription required; see also this article by Paul Lewis of the Washington Post).

McDonald resigned in response to a scathing report from the Inspector General's office in the Department of Interior. I just discovered this morning that her response to the report is available on line. In the interest of letting the parties speak for themselves, here are links to both.
