Since I made that post about the Atlas of Creation a little over a week ago, Feedburner tells me that the top three cities from which I am getting visitors1 are:

  1. Istanbul

  2. Turk

  3. Kargil

If you Google “atlas of creation”, sites obviously affiliated with the book fill all of the slots on the first page with two exceptions: the Geospatial and Statistical Data Center at the University of Virginia (go figure) and my post from the 27th of June.

1Not that I get that many.

author of the book "atlas of creation", harun yahya, is also known as adnan oktar who nicknamed himself with the names of two famous prophets, aaron (harun in turkish) and joseph (yahya in turkish). he found a some type of fundamentalist religios cult in istanbul, turkey with many members.

because of the activities of this cult, he has been trialed by the official authorities with accusitions of fraud, threat, blackmail and sexual harrasment. none of the accustions have been accepted by the court due to prescription, but he has been widely accepted as he had been commited such crimes.

he had published many books included anti semitic "global masonism", "templer knights and masons", "judaism and masonism" and "new masonic order".

his writing career and topics has a variety in range, included the mentioned books above and creationism subject books, he had written "the weapon of the satan: romanticism"

why did he send "atlas of creation" is an unknown but in turkey he often makes propaganda of himself as he has been widely accepted by the famous scientist so he takes credit of these types of action.

so, be prepare to be in the one of his books as a highly respected scientist (maybe you are not but that does not matter) who accepted his views in creationism.
