Screen shot 2012-10-24 at 8.14.49 AM.pngI wrote about myIDP in early September. It's a site designed to help graduate students in science identify match their talents and interests with career goals and to help them design an individual development program (IDP) to reach those goals. I recently learned about the special issue of New Scientist devoted to job advice for young scientists. There's a very slick free version available on the web. I encourage every young scientist who is looking forward to a career and every older scientist who advises young scientists to take a look. There's a lot of good advice to be found in it.
