Those of you who know me know that I don't often watch movies, but one of the movies I have seen is Aliens. Why do I mention this in a post titled "Science on screen"? Because I recently saw this on Twitter

It doesn't get much better than that for a science geek. A talk by Carl Zimmer on parasitoid wasps and a movie in Hartford. The website says it will happen on a Tuesday night, which is far from ideal, but I may just have to get there anyway. It should be a real kick.1

1And there aren't too many opportunities for this kind of a kick around here.
