Genetic drift: introduction
We'll start on Tuesday by reviewing very quickly what we covered in our review of natural selection, focusing especially on a few key ideas:
- Components of selection
- Patterns of natural (viability) selection
- Relative fitness
Then we'll move on and begin our discussion of genetic drift. Today we'll focus on some general properties of genetic drift. On Thursday, we'll begin diving into some of the details.
